Ideas for holidays, weekends and trips in Saint Apollinaire and its surroundings

A main event in the Dijon area is the Foire International et Gastronomique de Dijon, which is held annually from approximately the end of October through mid-November. This is the 6th ranked fair in France, attracting over 500 exhibitors, and subsequently pulls in crowds of around 200, 000 people. Culinary competitions run throughout, culminating with the coveted Grand Prix of Gastronomy. The festival is held at the Exhibition and Congress Dijon Centre, Clemenceau, located at 3 Boulevard de Champagne. If you are staying at the Campanile Dijon Est - Saint Apollinaire during that time, it is worth checking it out. Looking a little further from Dijon, in Châlon-sur-Saône, a contemporary dance festival called Instances grows in stature year-by-year. The festival has something for dancers of all levels, including relevant Q&A sessions with artists, as well as informative lectures. More information can be found at the Espace des Arts de Chalon-sur-Saône, located at 5 Bis avenue Nicéphore-Niepce, 71100 Chalon-Sur-Saone. There are also many leisure activities on offer, including the 1500 metre Dijon Skate Parc. In addition, Kartmania boasts an outdoor track of 900 metres and an indoor track of 485 metres. Lake Kir is a great place for water sports, including kayaking, swimming and sailing. Aside from these water activities, the lake vicinity also offers volleyball, table tennis and mini-golf.
